Why do we stick with H13 HEPA?

HEPA is an internationally-acknowledged safe and efficient filter material that is mostly used in environments that require high cleanliness like nuclear and atomic laboratory, medicine manufacturing and surgery.

PM2.5 are enduring fine particles floating in air; their main sources are fuel combustion and cigarette smoking; long-term exposure to PM2.5 could lead to cardiovascular diseases, respiratory diseases and lung cancer.

PM1 can enter alveolar blood and harm other human organs. PM1 are thus regarded as the more scientific monitoring indicator than PM2.5.

Fine particles with diameters between 0.1μm~0.3μm are called the hardest particles to filter because of their inertia and inactive diffusion. Thus, PM0.3 filtering performance is the primary indicator when choosing filters and purifiers. We choose H13-level HEPA that has a 99.97% filter efficiency of PM0.3.

The danger of fine particles is inversely proportional to their sizes. PM0.1 can enter alveoli, blood, and nervous system. Research has found its correlation with leukemia and cardiovascular diseases. Among these matters are metallic elements (e.g. manganese, lead, titanium, vanadium), radon, bacteria and virus (e.g. influenza virus, SARS virus, and H1N1 virus).
